The problem

Recognise any of these?

None of these companies wanted an ERP. All of them wanted to stop losing time.

Excel is the company

Orders in one sheet, customers in another, stock in somebody's head. When that person is on holiday, the company slows down.

Everything gets typed three times

The same request is copied from the email into the quote, from the quote into the invoice, from the invoice into the accounts. Every copy is a chance to get it wrong.

You don't know what you made this month

You know what you invoiced. What was left over per job, per client or per project only surfaces at year-end close — far too late to change anything.

Invoices are still PDFs

From 1 January 2028 that stops being enough between companies in Luxembourg. And your invoicing software probably doesn't speak Peppol yet.

One system or eight

Where do these things live today?

The same list of work, seen two ways. Flip the switch: first how most of the companies we visit work today, then the same work in one place.

81 places the information lives inplace the information lives in
40 times the same thing is typed by handtimes typed again
Quotes Word or Excel Sales
Invoices Another program, or Excel↻ typed again Invoicing
Customers Outlook and somebody's memory CRM
Stock Excel — or nothing Inventory
Purchasing Email and paper Purchase
Team hours Paper or WhatsApp Timesheets
Jobs and projects One more Excel Project
Expenses A bag of receipts↻ typed again Expenses
Accounting At the firm, in another program↻ typed again Accounting
Documents Drive, Dropbox, somebody's PC Documents
Counter A separate terminal Point of Sale
Reports Added up by hand at month end↻ typed again Dashboards

None of these tools is bad. The problem is not any one of them — it is the space between them, and that is where Friday morning goes. You do not have to move everything at once: almost everybody starts with two or three and leaves the rest for when it is actually needed.

What the Odoo ERP is

One ERP instead of seven separate programs.

Odoo replaces the spreadsheet, the invoicing program, the stock list and the CRM with a single place where information is entered once and shows up everywhere.

Everything connected

An approved quote becomes an order, the order draws down stock, the delivery generates the invoice, and the invoice lands in the accounts. Nobody copies anything.

Only the modules you need

You start with two and add more at the company's pace. You don't pay for what you don't use.

Configured for Luxembourg

Comparison

Why Odoo and not another ERP?

The question always comes up, and the honest answer is not “because Odoo wins at everything”. It depends on what the company is.

Odoo vs SAP Business One

It is solid, and it is built for groups with several entities, several currencies and international consolidation. In a company of 5 to 50 people it is usually oversized: longer implementations, higher licence costs, and a partner network aimed at projects bigger than yours.

When SAP wins: if you are part of a group already running SAP, or you have very specific industry compliance requirements.

Odoo vs Microsoft Dynamics 365

It makes sense when the company already lives inside Microsoft and wants Teams, Office and Power BI welded to the ERP. What tends to surprise people is the bill: licensing is per app and per user, and customisation nearly always needs a specialised partner.

When Dynamics wins: if you already have heavy Microsoft investment and Power BI or Power Automate sit at the centre of operations.

Odoo vs Salesforce

It is a CRM, and one of the best there is. It is not an ERP: no accounting, no stock, no Luxembourg chart of accounts. If your problem is the sales pipeline it may well be the right call — but it does not fix information being retyped between the quote, the warehouse and the invoice.

When Salesforce wins: if the pain is commercial rather than operational, and invoicing is already handled elsewhere.

And there is a fourth comparison nobody makes: the ERP you do not buy. If your invoicing software does what you need and already supports Peppol for 2028, adapting it is cheaper and faster than switching systems. We will tell you that on the first call and leave it there.

🚨 E-invoicing alert

From 1 January 2028 you must be able to receive electronic invoices.

On 17 July 2026 the Council of Government approved the bill extending mandatory e-invoicing to domestic B2B, over the Peppol network. The calendar is phased — and the date that catches SMEs first is not the one everyone assumes. The Peppol connection is part of the normal configuration, at no extra cost.

  1. 1 Jan 2028RECEIVE

Every company must be able to receive structured electronic invoices. No size exemption.

  2. 1 Jul 2028ISSUE

Medium and large companies must issue in electronic format.

  3. 1 Jan 2029ISSUE

    All remaining SMEs must issue.

Funding · optional

On larger projects, the State pays 70%.

Once the company is running on Odoo and wants the next phase — stock, manufacturing, integrations — that project fits the SME Packages, and the Ministry of the Economy reimburses 70% of eligible costs, up to €17,500.

SME Package Digital

This is the one that funds ERP projects. It covers management software, data migration, configuration, training and e-invoicing readiness.

The dossier goes in French

This is where most companies give up. We write the descriptive memorandum, gather the quotes and annexes, and walk you through submission on MyGuichet.lu.

Count on 4 to 6 months

From first contact to money in the account. Nothing can start before Ministry approval — which is exactly why it isn't where you begin.

How it works

Three steps, and none of them costs anything.

So you know what happens after you leave your details.

You tell us how you work

30 minutes · free

We ask the questions that matter to find where it hurts and what can be improved. We show nothing — we listen.

We show the ERP with your data

45 minutes · free

We set it up with your products and your kind of invoice, and show exactly the pain points you reported.

Gap analysis and written plan

Free, always

We take the pain points you told us about and answer each one: this Odoo solves out of the box, this needs configuring, this needs development, and this is not worth touching. With the order we would do it in and what can wait. An online meeting or at your company, whichever you prefer — and it costs nothing either way.

All three steps are free and carry no commitment — plenty of people settle the question at the first one and never reach the third, and that is fine. If we conclude the ERP is not the right route for you, we say so plainly.

After go-live

The project ends. The support does not.

The question almost nobody asks before signing, and the one that decides whether the system is still in use two years from now. Here is what is included and what is not.

Training: included in the project

The team is trained before go-live, on your company's own processes rather than sample data. It sits inside the project and does not appear as an extra line at the end — it is the item that disappears from quotes most often and the one that kills the most implementations.

After that: support and training from an hour balance

You buy a balance and spend it as you need it: a question, training somebody who just joined, a new report, a process that changed. Whatever is left carries over — it does not expire at the end of the year. And if something we configured stops working, that is warranty and costs you no hours at all.

At every new version, we tell you what changed

Odoo ships one version a year. We tell you what changed, what is worth adopting and what you can safely ignore — and that costs no hours. Setting up whatever you decide to adopt is what comes out of the balance.

So how many hours do I need? It depends on the size of the company, measured in users and modules in use — not in number of invoices. Counting invoices looks objective and measures the wrong thing: what consumes hours is how many people ask questions and how many workflows can break. One user invoicing and closing the books does not need what three users with sales, stock, purchasing and projects need. The market reference is around one hour per user per month — we start there and adjust at the end of the first quarter, with real usage on the table.

nosliW iT was founded in Luxembourg in 2025 to serve the segment that falls between the consultancy that's too big and the freelancer that's too small: companies of 5 to 50 people that need serious systems without multinational budgets.

In 2026 we made a choice: Odoo ERP only. Sales, invoicing, stock, purchasing and accounting in one system, configured for Luxembourg — chart of accounts, VAT and Peppol for 2028.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The ones we always get — including the uncomfortable ones.

What does it cost?

It depends on the number of users, how many modules go live at the start, and how many exceptions your process has — not on the size of the company. A 30-person company with one workflow for every customer is a simpler project than an 8-person one with three ways of invoicing.

On the 30-minute call we work out the size. In the written plan, you have the number.

Do I need Odoo Community or Enterprise?

Community is free and open source. Enterprise is paid per user and brings full accounting, the mobile app, the Peppol connection and Odoo's own support.

For a Luxembourg SME that needs to invoice properly, it is Enterprise — mainly because of 2028. The licence is paid directly to Odoo at a published price, and does not pass through us with a margin on it.

Does Odoo really handle Luxembourg accounting?

It does, but only if it is configured by someone who knows the local rules. It is the right question to ask, and it is the one that separates integrators.

In practice it is three linked things: the PCN 2020, the standard chart of accounts mandatory since 2020; eCDF, where VAT returns are filed; and FAIA, the audit file the Administration de l'enregistrement asks for during a check. The last two are fed by the balances of the first.

Which means a configuration can be perfectly valid in Odoo and fiscally wrong — and that only surfaces at year-end close. We work the accounting configuration through with your accountant, before the system goes live.

How long until we're working in it?

It is not a calendar question, it is a complexity one. Three things decide it: how many modules go live, how many years of history you want to bring across, and how many exceptions your normal process has.

A simple company with two modules and no history can be working in days. With data migration, several invoicing routes and team training, count on weeks. We tell you which case you are in on the first call — and it is one of the things the written plan answers properly.

What about the data in the old system?

We bring across what matters: customers, suppliers, products, open balances. That is what Odoo itself recommends.

What we do not recommend is bringing five years of transactions. It doubles the work, delays everything, and produces a system full of data nobody opens again. The old history stays accessible where it is.

How much of MY time does this take?

Less than people fear, and it is a question almost nobody asks before signing with someone else.

On a normal start we count on eight to ten hours of yours spread over a few weeks: a kick-off meeting, sending your data, testing five real cases, and the training. If somebody asks for forty hours, ask what for.

Once it is running, who helps me?

Training the team is included in the project and happens before go-live. After that, support works from an hour balance: you buy a balance and spend it as you need — a question, training somebody who just joined, a new report.

The size of the balance depends on how many people use the system and how many modules are live, not on how many invoices you issue. Whatever is left carries over, and if something we configured stops working, that is warranty and costs no hours.

Are you an official Odoo partner?

We are Odoo integrators: we implement, configure, migrate the data and run the training. We are not a listed official partner, and you will notice we do not appear on odoo.com/partners. We are working through the programme's functional certifications.

What if I want to try it myself first?

Go ahead. Odoo has a free plan for one app and you need nobody in the middle to open it — you can create the account here. It is nosliW iT's referral link, which means Odoo associates us with your account; it costs you nothing extra and changes nothing about your price.

What usually happens: the initial setup goes fine and the first invoices come out. What stops people is always the same thing — the Luxembourg chart of accounts, the link to the accounting firm, and the moment you have to decide how your real process fits into a system that was not designed around it. If you get there and would rather not lose three weekends, that is where we come in.

What languages do you work in?

With you, in English or Portuguese — phone, email, WhatsApp, meetings and training.

The Guichet requires the grant dossier's descriptive memorandum in French, German or Luxembourgish. We handle the French version. We do not run technical meetings in French, and we would rather say so here than halfway through a first meeting.
